Spot the iconic blue, red, sun, and three stars? These earrings are a banner of Filipino pride, literally! Wear your heritage with our K’lung Kalayaan Earrings which reinterpret the Philippine flag in intricate beadwork.

Our K'lung Kalayaan Earrings were designed and handcrafted by Indigenous T’boli artisans of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato in the Philippines. The T’boli are celebrated as visionary craftspeople that work with brass, wood, and textiles. Another artform the T’boli have mastered is Temool Lemimet or T’boli beading.

Each of our earrings is handmade in small batches to showcase the highest quality T’boli craftsmanship available. Naturally, this means your jewelry will have small imperfections and a unique character to it.

Sesotunawa

Sesotunawa is a Tboli Indigenous-owned social enterprise that celebrates the stories of Lake Sebu through Temwel (Tboli brass casting) and Temool Lemimet (Tboli beading). Sesotunawa’s co-founder and master brass caster is Kuya Joel, who learned the art of Temwel by helping his grandmother roll wax and cast brass in her workshop. Sesotunawa is named after the Tboli virtue that translates into “the spirit of working together”.
