Dear friends,
It's with a heavy but full heart that I share this news with you.
After a decade of building Cambio & Co. and six years of Sinta & Co., we've made the difficult decision to close.
Cambio & Co. closed at the end of January 2026.
2025 has been an incredibly difficult year for many —including us.
Changing regulations, U.S. tariffs, and market volatility have hit us hard. We did everything we could to adapt, from opening a U.S. warehouse to overhauling operations in mere weeks, but it wasn’t enough. The new costs and operational complexity made it unsustainable for us to continue.
At the same time, Jérôme and I have arrived at a point of our entrepreneurship journeys where we're ready for new adventures and challenges. It's bittersweet, but we're grateful and excited for what comes next ❤️
The Next Evolution: Founding Possibilities
While we are closing this specific chapter with Cambio & Co., the mission to lift up our people is only getting started. We are thrilled to introduce the next evolution of our work: Founding Possibilities.
It has been my dream to share what we’ve learned over the last decade so that more businesses committed to social justice can thrive. Founding Possibilities is a growth studio for marginalized founders and trusted allies who want to scale their businesses while lifting up their communities.
Our Rallying Cry: Build Ecosystems, Not Empires 🌸
We are launching in Spring 2026, offering strategy, coaching, and community gatherings for those building social justice brands.

What we are thankful for
When we first began 10 years ago, no one believed that a business championing Filipino heritage for the diaspora deserved to exist. But we’ve proven them wrong.

Cambio in its early days with founders Jérôme Gagnon-Voyer & Gelaine Santiago.
A decade later, there are countless Filipino-owned businesses reclaiming our culture, and thousands of you around the world wearing your heritage in bold and unapologetic ways. I like to think we played a hand, however small, in paving the path.
Throughout the journey, y’all have shared beautiful stories with us:
- How wearing your heritage made you feel connected to your culture.
- That we helped you feel seen, powerful, and beautiful.
- Because of your support, our artisan partners have invested in their children’s educations, grown savings, built homes and cultural centres, and have kept their crafting traditions alive.
Thank you for building with us. We'll miss you all.

Cambio's first pop-up in L.A.
Although we’re closing this chapter with Cambio, the work isn’t over. We remain steadfastly committed to our people in the diaspora and the homeland.
Maraming salamat to everyone who has supported and loved us. It’s been the greatest honour of my life to have served as steward of this community. And I look forward to continuing to serve you in what comes next.
May the seeds we’ve planted together blossom and bloom for generations to come ❤️
Until next time. Kitakits (see you around) 🙏🏽
With immense gratitude & kapwa spirit,
Gelaine Santiago and the Cambio & Co. Team
1. Can I still shop?
Unfortunately no, we sold out of everything.
2. Can I still request a return, refund, or exchange?
No, as announced when we did the closing sale: everything purchased after December 9th 2025 is final sale.
3. What'll happen to your partners in the Philippines? How can I keep supporting the artisans?
You can still support our partners directly if you wish to purchase directly from them in the Philippines, we have linked to them in this Instagram post
4. Would you consider selling the business or any existing assets (operational or marketing SOPs, domain name, or social media accounts)?
We're open! We've built a robust infrastructure over the years and would love to see Cambio & Co. and/or Sinta & Co. live on in some form under a new and values-aligned owner.
If you're interested, please send an email to gelaine@shopcambio.co with "Acquisition inquiry" in the subject line. Let us know what you're interested in and what you have in mind. Serious inquiries only please.
5. Where can I continue to follow and support your work after Cambio?
You can follow our CEO & Co-Founder Gelaine Santiago on her personal accounts on Instagram and/or LinkedIn.
6. Are you keeping your blog?
We've been proud to publish beautiful Filipino stories through the years, our blog will stay active.

So sorry this is happening! Really saddened that you had to make this decision…you made us feel seen and heard and helped find the identity that we didn’t have (or longed for when we were young children). I’ve always loved coming to this page, not just for your products, but for your insight. Thank you for everything you have done and please keep doing so in the best way that you can. We need people like you!!!!
I’m so sad you’re closing but know how hard it is to run a business especially I’m today’s political and economic climate.
I’m relieved to have purchased some items for my wedding and now I will purchase items for my bridesmaids.
Thank you for what you’ve down. I can’t wait to hear of your next chapter.
Hi Gelaine, sad to see you go and excited for you for the future. My husband is Filipino and I’m Portuguese. He bought me your beautiful bag the Sampaguita & Gumamela Puso Convertible Tote Bag and I love it. I feel like I’m part of the culture and try to wear it with the grace, style and integrity of many of the Filipino people that I know!! Wishing you all the best with your future endeavours!! 🥰

I’m so sad to see you go, I moved to Colorado 9 years ago and was struggling to see/be around our Filipino culture… your store really helped me connect to ‘home’ and even your packaging helped decorate my home.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!
All the best in your new adventures.
Forever grateful,
Norina
