Dear friends,

It's with a heavy but full heart that I share this news with you.

After a decade of building Cambio & Co. and six years of Sinta & Co., we've made the difficult decision to close.

We'll be winding down and will be closing operations by February 2026. Our team will be transitioning to other projects in the coming months.

2025 has been an incredibly difficult year for many including us.

Changing regulations, U.S. tariffs, and market volatility have hit us hard. We did everything we could to adapt, from opening a U.S. warehouse to overhauling operations in mere weeks, but it wasn’t enough. The new costs and operational complexity made it unsustainable for us to continue.

At the same time, Jérôme and I have arrived at a point of our entrepreneurship journeys where we're ready for new adventures and challenges. It's bittersweet, but we're grateful and excited for what comes next ❤️

When we first began 10 years ago, no one believed that a business championing Filipino heritage for the diaspora deserved to exist. But we’ve proven them wrong.

Cambio in its early days with founders Jérôme Gagnon-Voyer & Gelaine Santiago.

A decade later, there are countless Filipino-owned businesses reclaiming our culture, and thousands of you around the world wearing your heritage in bold and unapologetic ways. I like to think we played a hand, however small, in paving the path.

Throughout the journey, y’all have shared beautiful stories with us:

  • How wearing your heritage made you feel connected to your culture.
  • That we helped you feel seen, powerful, and beautiful.
  • Because of your support, our artisan partners have invested in their children’s educations, grown savings, built homes and cultural centres, and have kept their crafting traditions alive.

Thank you for building with us. We'll miss you all.

As we move through this transition together, we want to make sure you have everything you need—whether you’re waiting on an order, planning gifts, or hoping to bring home a piece of our story.

We've compiled some FAQs at the bottom of this page so you have all the info you need as we wind things down with care.

Although we’re closing this chapter with Cambio, the work isn’t over. We remain steadfastly committed to our people in the diaspora and the homeland.

Maraming salamat to everyone who has supported and loved us. It’s been the greatest honour of my life to have served as steward of this community. And I look forward to continuing to serve you in what comes next.

May the seeds we’ve planted together blossom and bloom for generations to come ❤️

Until next time. Kitakits (see you around) 🙏🏽

With immense gratitude & kapwa spirit,
Gelaine Santiago and the Cambio & Co. Team

1. Can I still shop?

Yes! Starting today, we're hosting our Paalam (Goodbye) Sale. Get 25% off sitewide on both Cambio and Sinta. Once an item sells out, we won't be restocking. Everything is final sale,

As usual, all orders will ship locally from Toronto and New York, tariff-free.

Some inventory may shift between our warehouses in Canada and the USA, which will change its availability to you. If an item you want is sold out, please leave your email so you can be notified in the off-chance it becomes available near you.

SHOP OUR COLLECTIONS HERE

Please note that the 25% discount does not apply to our Palestine Fundraising Collection.

2. Will I still get my gifts in time for Christmas? What happens if I already placed an order?

Yes! We're continuing to ship your holiday orders tariff-free in Canada & the USA in time for Christmas day.

Order by the following dates to get your gifts by December 25th:

  • 🇺🇸USA: Dec. 17th
  • 🇨🇦Canada, except Ontario: Dec. 16th
  • 🇨🇦 Toronto & Ontario: Dec 18th

3. What'll happen to my pre-order or gift card?

Don't worry! We’re continuing to honor all active pre-orders. You’ll get a message from our team shortly.

While we’ve stopped selling gift cards, we’re continuing to honor all existing gift card holders. We recommend you use yours as soon as possible as they’re non-refundable.

4. Can I still request a return, refund, or exchange?

Every order made during the Paalam (Goodbye) Sale, or December 9th onwards, is final sale.

However, if you've purchased anything before December 9th, the existing return and refund policy still applies. You can find our Refund & Exchange Policy here.

5. Where can I speak with the Cambio Team to assist me with my order?

You can email us at support@shopcambio.co. We'd be glad to help! Our website and customer service team will continue to be available as we move through this transition.

6. What'll happen to your partners in the Philippines? How can I keep supporting the artisans?

Thanks for asking, kaibigan! ❤️ You can still make an impact in the Philippines with your orders from the Paalam (Goodbye) Sale. The artisans have already been paid in full for each piece they’ve made; your discount doesn't affect their compensation!

We're also communicating with our artisan partners behind-the-scenes and introducing them to other retailers to help them find alternate sources of livelihood.

7. Would you consider selling the business or any existing assets (operational or marketing SOPs, remaining inventory, or social media accounts)?

We're open! We've built a robust infrastructure over the years and would love to see Cambio & Co. and/or Sinta & Co. live on in some form under a new and values-aligned owner.

If you're interested, please send an email to gelaine@shopcambio.co with "Acquisition inquiry" in the subject line. Let us know what you're interested in and what you have in mind. Serious inquiries only please.
