Empowering Survivors Of Sex Trafficking With Handcrafted Jewelry
Made in Manila
TAYO is a Tagalog word meaning “to help stand”, “to build”, and is also the pronoun for “we.” This word captures the essence behind TAYO: to help survivors of sex trafficking stand by building them up, together as a community.
Every TAYO piece is handcrafted and designed in the Philippines by the women of Wipe Every Tear, a non-profit dedicated to empowering women trapped in the sex trade in South East Asia. Though Wipe Every Tear is an American organization with headquarters in Boise, Idaho, all social programming and livelihood projects are managed by locals in the Philippines. The women and their children are provided refuge in safe houses with access to warm meals, free education, and job skills training so they can take charge of their futures.
TAYO operates directly from one of our Wipe Every Tear safe homes… this means the product you purchase is literally made in a refuge, a place of hope, and healing
